Hi, I’m Michael Hawkins and I write Top Notch Parents to help moms and dads make it through the complicated (and fun) thing we call “parenthood”.  I started Top Notch Parents to give you some helpful tips on raising kids.  Hey, it’s a jungle out there!

I’ve been married for 23 years now.  Living in the mid-western section of the United States, my wife and I are busy with careers, household tasks and raising two boys (9 and 14).  So, in addition to all the great information I find for you, I’ll also share my personal “parenting insights” with you.  One day I might be writing about potty-training, the next day you might read a post on potty-mouth kids…and then later you might find out some startling facts on pot-smoking kids.  You just never know.  There are tons of things to talk about and I want to bring as much info to you as possible  And I’ll never pretend to know it all.  In fact, I’ll be the first to point you to the experts in the field.  That’s how I play this game.
